One Travis Scott fan recently overcame his battle with cancer — and the “Sicko Mode” rapper helped him celebrate. Back in September, Jonah DeToro welcomed in his 20th birthday while at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, where he was undergoing treatment for his second bout of cancerous brain tumors. DeToro celebrated his birthday by enjoying a McDonald’s Travis Scott meal and tweeting at the artist.

“No better way to fight cancer than having a #TravisScottmeal on my birthday,” he wrote.

Scott saw the message and retweeted it, writing, “Ur my hero!!!! Anyway If I can make ur day better makes me happy !!! Imma try to get something up there to u kiddo.”

Now — when DeToro has happily announced he successfully beat the cancer — Scott helped him celebrate by gifting him one of his highly sought after McDonald’s action figures.

“Thanks for the victory trophy,” DeToro tweeted, posting a picture from home with the figurine.

“I want to give another shout out to Travis for making a difference and send some love to everyone who is going through this,” DeToro added in a press release. “There is nothing easy about a cancer diagnosis, but it definitely helps to have family and friends – not to mention Travis Scott fans from all over the world – who contribute in so many ways.”

The fan’s uncle, Adam Greenspan, also reflected on the support they’ve received since Scott shared DeToro’s story.

“During this month dedicated to awareness and treatment, Jonah got the ultimate birthday surprise from his favorite rapper. We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from friends and strangers alike and want to continue to shine a light on the need for research, treatment and care for kids facing challenging circumstances at a young age.”

Scott’s viral partnership with McDonald’s spawned a celebratory single with Young Thug and M.I.A., limited edition merchandise and more. The rapper’s Cactus Jack figurines are even being resold on StockX with an asking price of $45,000.
