As Tobi Lou gears up to release Parrish Blue, the Chicago artist drops off another cut from the body of work. The new collab track is titled “OKAY” and includes an assist from Dreezy. On the song, Tobi gets his thoughts off about someone doubling back:

“It’s been a little minute since you f**ked with me. Now you hit me up, what you want with me? Itchin’ my inner peace, when you said you miss, when you said you miss, when you said you miss me Tell me when are you free. I just wanna smoke some weed. I got a whole pound back at my house, I’ll smoke you out. Put your legs up, I choke you out. I know your style, I know you wild. It’s been a while, it’s been a while.”

Tobi Lou’s last full length project was 2019’s Live On Ice, which saw features from Rockie Fresh, Ryan Destiny, LEJKEYS, and more. Still, Tobi has been the furthest thing from inactive in 2020, as he dropped off plenty of singles such as “Endorphins,” “Pretty Much,” “Neither Here Not There,” “Student Loans,” “Skin Care Tutorial 2020,” “hot tub DREAM Machine,” and “hot tub TIME Machine.”

Most recently, Dreezy can be heard on the late King Von’s new album Welcome to O’Block on the song “Mad At You.” She also made an appearance on Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation project on one of the lead singles “Got Me” alongside Ari Lennox, Omen, and Ty Dolla $ign. Her last project was 2019’s Big Dreez.

In a previous interview, Tobi Lou revealed what his musical influences were and who inspired him to start rapping:

A mixture of Will Smith, Biggie, and anything associated with Timbaland, Missy Elliott. Seeing all of this one MTV early on inspired me, but when Kanye came I said “Oh here is someone who is not suppose to be here, yet he’s here”. It let me know you can be where people think you can’t be, there’s room for the “weird guy”, and I say weird but not in a bad weird. If you aren’t weird in some way you aren’t living you’re life right, you gotta have something that you do that makes you, you.
