Detroit’s very own Tee Grizzley just dropped his visual for “No Witness,” which can be found on his 2020 project The Smartest. As the story is painted by his lyrics, the black and white visual follows Tee from the site of arrest, to the interrogation room, to a jail cell. On the song, he raps about the rawness of his lifestyle:

“Free my mama, she saw more birds than a turkey drive. This shit was handed to you boys, I got it out the dirt with mine. Yeah, n***a, out the mud, clutching walking out the club. Nike slides, T-shirt on, still can pull out a dub. Spilled some food on my shirt, ain’t worried with the stain on it. Still’ll see you in the club take your bitch and rain on it.”

Tee Grizzley dropped off his 2020 project The Smartest back in June. Equipped with 17 records in total, the Detroit rapper landed some prominent features with Big Sean, Meek Mill, Lil Baby and Lil Keed. Behind the boards was production from the likes of Mustard, Hit-Boy, Helluva, and the legendary Scott Storch.

In more recent news, Tee Grizzley made an appearance on Berner’s newest project Russ Bufalino: The Quiet Don on the track “R.I.P.,” and its music video just recently dropped last month. He also lobbed an assist to $tupid Young on his track “Wit A Sticc.” In June, he released “Mr. Officer” featuring Queen Naija and members from the Detroit Youth Choir, a song about the Black lives lost at the hands of the police.

In an interview with SPIN, Tee Grizzley shared his best advice on how to rise above your circumstances as an artist:

“Be as creative as possible, don’t half step nothing, as far as videos, studio you going to, your beats, nothing, don’t half step it, do the best you can do. And just keep putting it out there, stay consistent with that sh*t. And one day it’s gonna catch, because you gonna build up this fanbase that’s gonna be f**king with you. Boom. But don’t try to mimic nobody else, it’s already everybody out there. So be you.”
