Money Man keeps the momentum for the success of his latest hit going by releasing a brand new video for “24.” The Kobe Bryant tribute track initially came out back in February ahead of the release of Money Man’s Epidemic mixtape, but after one of the hottest names in the game right now, Lil Baby, hopped on the track for its official remix, “24” catapulted into the Hot 100 and peaked at No. 63.

The new video features the rappers sporting Kobe jerseys and kicks. Right from the start of the video is a shot of a slithering snake, a reference to Kobe Bryant’s widely-used “Mamba” nickname. On the song, Money Man references the late basketball legend two different times:

“Burnin’ on Lilikoi, ashes look corduroy, R.I.P. Kobe Bryant, R.I.P. 24. I can make a cool 50K in less than twenty-four hours.”

“She know I get racks, she know my mentality. Grew up in the trap watching Kobe yam on a n***a. Pull up in the Porsche, yeah, the Pan’ on a n***a.”

Earlier this year in March, Money Man dropped off his pandemic-influenced Epidemic mixtape. The Atlanta rapper has been rapping for a long time, and 8-track long project marked his 18th project he released. Later that same month, he released yet another project State of Emergency. Finally in August, Money Man unleashed the deluxe version of Epidemic, which included a whopping 12 additional tracks. Epidemic (Deluxe) included features from Jackboy, TEC, YFN Lucci, and of course Lil Baby.

Lil Baby has been having a successful year. He released his chart-topping 2020 project My Turn and its deluxe version, which included features from 42 Dugg, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Moneybagg Yo, Young Thug, and Rylo Rodriguez. In March, he also accomplished an impressive feat, as he locked in another Hot 100 hit and is now able to claim he has as many Hot 100 hits as the legendary Prince.
