Berner’s newest project Russ Bufalino: The Quiet Don arrived last week, and the San Fransisco rapper and entrepreneur just released a visual for “R.I.P.,”his collab track with Tee Grizzly, today (Sept 25). The new 18-track project features Wiz Khalifa, DMX, G Herbo, Mozzy, Trae Tha Truth, Damian and Stephen Marley, and more. On “R.I.P.,” Berner spits some wisdom about how he’ll handle his funds:

F**k a chain, I start a trust for all my friends’ kids. Celebratin’, I’m knowin’ this can end quick. Check the résumé, I never play, watch it all accelerate. Accept it, I’ma set the rates. You know me, I need C.O.D. I got on sellin’ cheap OG’s.

Russ Bufalino: The Quiet Don follows this year’s The Warning and Los Meros, two collaborative releases with R-Mean and legendary rapper B-Real, and his last solo release La Plaza dropped last November. Aside from music, Berner is known for his half-a-billion dollar cannabis empire, and he recently disclosed his flagship stores are making between $100,000 and $200,000 a day.

In an episode of REVOLT’s Drink Champs, Berner shared details about the origin of his friendship with Wiz Khalifa, and did some self reflection about his own pacing as an artist:

“Wiz came by the club I was running back when — so before Cookies was Cookies, he came by there. I was running the store, I was the buyer and the manager at the cannabis club, he came by, we got high, he was cool as fuck. We’re still doing business. And the thing about me, bro, I just move so fast, bro. I like to just move at my own pace and I think it’s a little overwhelming sometimes because these albums could’ve been a lot bigger and marketed a lot more.”
