Former Disney star Orlando Brown has revealed he’s turned his life around after years of battling a drug addiction.

Footage of Brown surfaced over the weekend where he appeared to be testifying at a Christian church.

“My name is Orlando Brown. You may know me from a little show from back in the day called ‘That’s So Raven,’” he said. “I went through a lot. I experimented with crystal meth, with weed. I didn’t know what I was doing. I was addicted to the internet. All kinds of stuff.”

“My fiancée told me about this place and when I came it was amazing,” he continued. “I had a blast. These brothers accepted me for who I am. Church is lovely. All the leaders are brilliant, their geniuses and men of God.”

According to the The Christian Post, the “place” Brown made reference to is the Rise Church in Texas where he is completing Rise Discipleship, a free 6-month in-patient recovery program for men who struggle with drugs, alcohol, depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts among other things.

“I can tell you that I’m OK. I’m alive. I was in an unsafe position and it has been shaky,” he began. “But at the end of the day, all I can tell you is I’m OK, and I’m graduating, and I will be getting married,” he told The Post.

The “That’s So Raven” actor went missing in action after the show went off air, but returned to social media with unusual rants that drew concern as people worried about his mental health. He made headlines in 2016 following a fight with his ex-girlfriend and was subsequently charged with domestic battery, obstruction of justice, drug possession with intent to sell and possession of contraband. Brown was also arrested in 2018 when he tried to break into the Legends Restaurant & Venue in Las Vegas. That year, he made a bizarre appearance on “Dr. Phil” where he rejected the offer for help and rehabilitation.

Brown is now expected to graduate from the Rise Discipleship recovery program in November.
