Smoke DZA, Wiz Khalifa , Big K.R.I.T., & Curren$y get together for “Santos Party House”
The new single brings together four rappers to bring it back to the blog era days.
Smoke DZA rallied up his rap brothers Big K.R.I.T, Wiz Khalifa, and Curren$y for his newest single “Santos Party House. The new video arrives at the heels of his announcement about his newest upcoming project, Homegrown, which is confirmed to hit streaming services on next month on Oct. 2. Prior to “Santos Party House,” DZA released his single “Hibachi” featuring Flipp Dinero and Jadakiss.
On the new groovy Girl Talk-produced track, DZA, K.R.I.T. and Curren$y trade bars while Wiz comes in smoothly for the catchy hook. “Santos Party House” comes paired with a cheeky animated cartoon, which features the four rappers, decked out in their own merch and signature fits, making their way through the city to link up and rock a live show together. The new song’s cover art also follows suite with the theme, as it’s a mock flyer for the event that everyone is pulling up to that night.
Curren$y has been treating his fans with a lot to be excited about this year. Just a few days ago, the New Orleans veteran shared a new visual for his track “Mugallo Red” featuring Rick Ross. In July, Curren$y teamed up with his frequent collaborator producer Harry Fraud to deliver the joint EP The OutRunners. Smoke DZA and Wiz also appeared on Curren$y’s La Marina in 2018.
Smoke DZA stopped by for an episode of Drink Champs alongside Hovain, where he dropped some gems about a variety of topics, including the influence of Big L:
“To somebody like me that was born in the era of Big L and studying rap patterns, and studying Big L himself, he is Mt. Rushmore,” DZA says. “It’s certain young kids like my artist Jayy Grams that actually is meticulous to certain rap music and studying patterns and watching battle rap and doing different shit to sharpen his sword. Studying somebody like Big L would work for him ‘cause metaphorically, how he set up his bars, structure, the type of beats he rapped on — for someone that caters to lyrics — like Benny the Butcher, that is shit that kids could take. That’s nutrients and vitamins.”
