As previously stated, Griselda has single handedly taken over the rap game in 2020 as a label. Westside Gunn has released two projects alone, Pray For Paris and FLYGOD Is An Awesome God 2, with an additional album Who Made The Sunshine on the way. Not to mention, Conway The Machine has dropped some pretty memorable albums himself this year — LULU (with The Alchemist), No One Mourns The Wicked (with Big Ghost LTD), and his most recent effort From King To A God. Benny The Butcher and newly signed artist Boldy James have delivered quite well with their respective drops — Da Respected Sopranos Gangsta Grillz with DJ Drama as well as The Versace Tape (Boldy’s label debut).

One of their most recent signees and First Lady of Griselda, Armani Caesar, contributes to the fun by delivering her label debut titled The Liz Tape.

Caesar officially joined the label in March 2020 but was signed by the late DJ Shay in 2009, putting her on Westside Gunn’s radar for quite a while. “I’m dropping ‘The Liz’ for the culture. For all the people that grew up loving hip hop for the art of it not just the beats. I’ve studied this and I’m so proud of this body of work,” the First Lady said in a statement. “I want to dedicate this to Demetrius “DJ Shay” Robinson. The first person to ever take a chance on me musically. He believed in my talent long before anybody else knew my name. There would be no “Armani Caesar” if it hadn’t been for him. So I’m doin this one for Shay. I hope it makes him proud.”

Featuring 10 tracks and a bonus cut, The Liz Tape features appearances from Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher, along with production work from DJ Premier, 808 Mafia, Camoflauge Monk and more. Armani’s latest effort boasts of Griselda’s distinct grimy boom-bap sound and offers a view of the Griselda universe from a woman’s perspective for the first time ever.
