Megan Thee Stallion revealed some shocking news on Wednesday (July 15) on Instagram. In a post, the rapper admitted to being shot multiple times over the weekend. She decided to make this statement because of some inaccurate reports surrounding her involvement in Tory Lanez’s arrest on Sunday (July 12).

“I was never arrested. This whole experience was an eye opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy,” her post was captioned.

Megan’s actual message read: “The narrative that is being reported about Sunday morning’s events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight. On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.

“I was never arrested, the police drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarity the details about this traumatic night.”

Megan closed, “I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.”

TMZ broke the story that Lanez was arrested on Sunday morning after a disturbance outside of a Hollywood Hills home. Witnesses told authorities that people were arguing in a vehicle before someone fired gun shots in the air. After that, the vehicle quickly drove off.

Once law enforcement tracked down the car, which had Lanez and Megan, cops found a gun inside of it. Lanez was then arrested on a gun charge, which is also a felony.
