August Alsina releases new album ‘The Product III: StateofEMERGEncy’

It’s a great pleasure to see August Alsina back in action

It’s been five years since the release of his last project This Thing Called Life, and the game has missed him dearly. After a hiatus due to health complications, August Alsina drops off his third studio album The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy.

Over the past year, August has shared bits of his recovery after falling ill due to the autoimmune disease that left him hospitalized. He’s always remained positive and in good spirits and continued to motivate others, even when he wasn’t feeling physically well. While being compromised for an extended period of time, August couldn’t have picked a better time to bless the fans with this new project.

In his first social media post since December 2019, the New Orleans crooner took some time from his day to announce the projects release as well as providing some words of encouragement for his people:

The goal of this project is to expose myself through the art and to help others reveal their true selves. Go back into the past, bring it into the present and positively impact our future. I want to show the community that we’ve all had to overcome some type of obstacle. Some greater than others, but pain is pain…and pain and its threshold is subjective and different for each individual.

The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy is a concrete body of work expanding for 27 records with some notable features from the likes of Lil Wayne, Yo Gotti, Juicy J and more. Throughout this entire week starting Sunday (June 21), August premiered a record from the project every day accompanied by an episode from his documentary. While this opened up some eyes and gave insight on August Alsina’s journey, it was a great marketing tactic for the release.

It’s definitely great to hear August back in the booth again, hopefully this will be the start of what’s yet to come. Check it out below and let us know your favorite records in the comment section.
