While Rihanna is saving the world through her philanthropic efforts, her ANTI album is continuing to make Billboard history, four years after its initial release. According to Chart Data, the LP has spent a total of 224 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the longest-charting album by a Black female artist in Billboard 200 history.

Her eighth studio album, which peaked at No. 1, was originally released back in 2016 and featured appearances from SZA and Drake. The LP also featured the hit singles “Work,” “Kiss It Better,” “Needed Me,” “Love On The Brain” and “Sex With Me.”

Back in February, REVOLT previously reported that ANTI made Rih the first Black female to have an album chart for four years. ANTI is now three-times certified platinum, according to the RIAA. Her Navy fanbase is patiently waiting for the singer’s forthcoming project to drop. Not much is known about the album, but Rih did reveal with Vogue that the LP will be reggae-inspired.

“I like to look at it as a reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album. It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae. But you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks,” she told the outlet. “Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or my environment that I grew up in; it never leaves.”

“I have been trying to get back into the studio. It’s not like I can lock myself in for an extended amount of time, like I had the luxury of doing before,” she continued. “I know I have some very unhappy fans who don’t understand the inside bits of how it works.”

Congratulations to Rihanna on her huge accomplishments. Check out Chart Data’s tweet below.
