This past Valentine’s Day, A Boogie Wit Da Boogie dropped off his third studio album Artist 2.0, which earned the Highbridge star a number two spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to 120,000 album equivalent units sold. This Friday, he’ll be releasing the deluxe edition of Artist 2.0, which will see a slew of new songs for fans to enjoy. One of the tracks said to be included is the previously teased cut “Bleed,” which is produced by S.Dot and JoeFromYO and sees A Boogie waxing poetic about wealth over love:

“I‘ma be in the gas stations, in the CVSs, gettin’ givies, yeah, and if you really my n***a, word to mother, we gon’ split it 50/50/

Yeah, they call me a SoundCloud boy, they stealin’ my sound now, boy I feel like I’m really the King of my City/

I got the crown now, boy Two .38’s on the side of me, lookin’ like a cowboy, yeah, n***as be actin’ like b***hes, I might as well just call you tomboys/

Don’t play with me, .38 on me and I’m feelin’ so, so special, n***as is lucky, I’m busy gettin’ money ‘cause I really couldn’t love you../”

The accompanying visual shows a variety of different situations, from A Boogie sparring with a punching bag to shots of jewelry, guns, and a call being made from prison, all mixed with “bleeding” graphics to makes the song’s title.

Speaking to Apple Music, A Boogie reveals that “Bleed” was intended to be a collaboration with the late Pop Smoke, who passed on back in February following a home invasion in Los Angeles:

“‘Bleed’ originally came from an idea that I wanted Pop Smoke to be a part of, but unfortunately, I never got a chance to present it to him before his untimely passing. I want to continue to send love to his family, friends, and fans.”

Fans can press play on “Bleed” below.
