Cozz and Reason are working on a joint project. Although a collaborative album has long been teased by the Dreamville and Top Dawg Entertainment artists, Cozz confirmed the project on Twitter on Memorial Day.

“Man this project between me and reason gon be something special,” Cozz tweeted on Monday (May 25). “Just wait on it.”

The news arrives shortly after another potential Dreamville and TDE collaborated project made headlines. Last week, TDE’s Punch offered mixed messages about the long-teased joint album between Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, which was first announced 10 years ago.

On May 20, Punch decidedly canceled the project, tweeting to fans “That’s never going to happen.”

“[There are] 0 tracks. Not happening,” he added. The next day, the label executive changed his tune.

“Nah I don’t know. It might still happen,” he wrote on Twitter. “I want it to happen.”

“Y’all really want that album still??? Like for real?” he continued, throwing the fate of the album into fans’ hands. “I think it would great for hip hop. I did my part though. I spoke to both of them. Hit them ni**as!”

Punch’s tease also arrived after TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith confirmed that Lamar will be releasing new music soon.

“Stay patient,” he announced during an Instagram Live session. “King Kendrick will return soon.”

Cozz and Reason recently teamed up on Revenge of the Dreamers III cut “LamboTruck,” which found the two rappers plotting to rob their respective label heads — Tiffith and Cole. However, Cole and Lamar haven’t collaborated since Jeezy’s 2017 album Pressure, on the song, “American Dream.”

So far, neither Cozz nor Reason have offered any further details or a release date for their joint project. For now, enjoy the music video for their collaborated Revenge of the Dreamers III cut “LamboTruck” below.
