2020 just keeps getting better by the day, musically that is! On Tuesday (May 12), Epic Records delivered some news that broke the internet —the delivery of Future’s new album High Off Life. Last year, the Freebandz Gang leader made a solid impression with his album The WZRD, one of his most cohesive bodies of work we’ve received from him. Since the release, it seemed as though he was more relaxed and just coasting through life as it came. With his Drake-assisted smash hit “Life Is Good” taking over charts earlier this year, the ATL menace spoke with XXL about THIS album acquiring the same name:

“It’s about life and being good and just enjoying life. So many tragedies and catastrophes and everything is going on in the world. And you want to enjoy life, as long as you have it. Waking up, breathing, well, you want to be able to soak it all up and be appreciative for every moment on this earth, every moment that you’re living.”

Clearly, Future had a change of heart (and probably for the best) by changing the album’s title to High Off Life. Assembled with 22 records, the album features guest appearances from Drake, Young Thug, DaBaby, Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Youngboy Never Broke Again, Lil Uzi Vert and more!

Executive produced by none other than Freebandz Gang own DJ Esco, High Off Life is definitely one for the books. Serving as Future’s eighth studio album, he shows no sign of letting up anytime soon. In the years to come, this project will undoubtedly be in the “classic” conversation pertaining to Nayvadius’ catalog. By the time we’re all off punishment from COVID-19, you should still have this in rotation on a daily basis — yes, it’s that good.
