Chris Brown becomes first R&B artist to achieve 100 entries on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart

Chris Brown just made Billboard history!
The “Back To Sleep” singer just became the eighth artist with at least 100 Hot 100 entries after “Not You Too,” his collaboration with Drake, debuted at No. 25 on the chart. Breezy also became the first R&B artist in history to have 100 entries on the Hot 100 chart.
He took to Instagram to celebrate his new milestone and celebrate Nicki Minaj receiving her first No. 1 hit with “Say So (Remix).” “Shout out to @nickiminaj for making HISTORY TODAY TOO!” he captioned the post.
Drake, the “Glee” cast, Lil Wayne, Elvis Presley, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and JAY-Z are the only other artists who have at least 100 Hot 100 entries.
Brown emerged onto the music scene at the age of 15. His breakout single “Run It!” peaked at No. 1 and his self-titled debut album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Over the span of his 16-year career, Breezy has had three No. 1 albums including Indigo, Fortune and F.A.M.E.
“I make music for myself personally, but I also try to do music that people can relate to, have fun with; evoke as much emotion as possible from my audience and peers,” he previously told Billboard. “It’s God and just consistency with my talent. Being able to persevere if I get knocked down and always get back up. A lot of times, you can get convoluted and confused with all the mayhem and hoopla that’s going on. I just try to stay grounded; keep my family first. And always focus on what my purpose is: putting out great music.”
The Virginia native recently released his joint mixtape with Young Thug on his 31st birthday. Slime & B debuted at No. 55 on the Billboard 200 chart. The 13-track project features appearances from Gunna, Shad Da God, Lil Duke, Too $hort, E-40 and more.
