Thank to TDE’s Fan Appreciation Week, fans have already taken in new music from Ab-Soul and Zacari. Now, the next release up is from Tennessee’s own Isaiah Rashad, who delivers the Crooklin-produced “Why Worry.” The track — which sees him giving fans an update of his life physically and mentally — is a huge moment for an artist who hasn’t released anything since his 2016 debut studio album The Sun’s Tirade:

“Too busy livin’ big, too busy checkin’ of my list of s*** I never did, drop top on all my whips, ain’t none these hoes my b***h/

Ain’t none these h*** my gig, can’t even hold my piss, oh, that’s your family, yo man? When? How could you stand ‘em?/

He always try take advantage of a n***a, there the mink is, bills paid for the shrink is, lay back and calm your thinkin’/

Ink pens, ink blot, I’m sinkin’, sober so far and shrinkin’, smokin’ out my new Lincoln…/”

Fans first got a taste of new music from Isaiah Rashad via an Instagram livestream at the start of the month. Now, it looks like he’s putting the final touches on his sophomore album said to be titled The House Is Burning.

Isaiah Rashad first broke out via 2014’s Cilvia Demo, his first official TDE offering. Despite having fourteen tracks, the drop was considered an EP — nonetheless, Cilvia Demo was met with universal praise by fans and peers alike. Two years later, The Sun’s Tirade landed with 17 equally dope cuts and appearances from Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Kari Faux, SiR, Jay Rock, Zacari, and The Internet’s Syd. Since then, Isaiah Rashad has become somewhat of an anomaly, going virtually silent in the subsequent years…until today.

Check out “Why Worry” below, and look out for more from Isaiah Rashad — and TDE — to arrive sooner than later.
