Drake continues to make history.

His newest single, “Toosie Slide,” knocked The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” out of the top spot as the single debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

According to Billboard, Drake is now the first male artist and second artist overall to have three songs debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, along with Mariah Carey.

“Toosie Slide” becomes Drake’s seventh No. 1, extending his record as the rapper with the most No. 1 singles. “What’s My Name,” “Work,” “One Dance,” “God’s Plan,” “Nice For What” and “In My Feelings” are Drake’s other No. 1 singles.

The Scorpion rapper recently spoke to Diddy on Instagram Live about creating his new album while social distancing at home.

“I’m working on the album, I’ve been working on it for awhile now,” Drake said. “Another silver lining [to social distancing] is when God does get you to sit down — I remember the last time I had to sit down was when I tore my ACL, and I made a great album out of that.”

“Obviously, God has us all inside the house right now, sitting down, so the amount of focus that I’m able to put into this album is probably way different than it would’ve been, if I had to go do the residency in [Las] Vegas or be able to go meet up with Justin in Miami,” he continued.

“This is the most excited I’ve been about an album in a long time,” he said. “A lot of little stuff has been trickling out, but all the stuff on the album is fresh, it’s brand new and I’m excited. This is probably the most music I’ve ever been sitting on. I’m hyped.”
