For the past couple of years, fans have waited for the release of Lil Uzi Vert’s second studio LP Eternal Atake. While some songs have seen the light of day, the album continued to be pushed back, and issues between Lil Uzi and his label — namely, Generation Now’s DJ Drama and Don Cannon — began to come to the forefront. As of last month, it seems that the wait will soon be over:

Today, fans get to check out what is presumably another cut from Eternal Atake titled “That Way,” which creatively samples the Backstreet Boys classic single “I Want It That Way.” The Yung Lan, Felipe S and Supah Mario-produced cut sees Uzi rapping about girls and high-end cars:

“Woah, she from Atlanta, she went to Cascade, ay/

She ride the D like she’s tryna drag race, woah/

Don’t slow me right down, I like it fast-paced, ay/

That is enough about that girl, everyone know it is my world/

If he dropped an album, thought it was trash day/

I’m on my own, not talkin’ masturbate, yeah/

She gave me dome ‘til I graduate, woah/

I’ma grab a Bentley, Mean might go and grab a Wraith, yeah/”

“That Way” follows the release of past singles “That’s A Rack,” “Sanguine Paradise” and “Futsal Shuffle 2020,” the latter of which is still making its rounds thanks to the song’s accompanying dance. Prior to that, Uzi delivered his highly successful debut album Luv Is Rage 2, which scored him his first Billboard 100 number one. Interestingly enough, that release was also hampered by significant delays.

Press play on “That Way” below. If Lil Uzi Vert does indeed release Eternal Atake this month as stated, we’ll have plenty of rave-ready tunes to party to during the Summer months. One can only hope.
