Over the weekend, Lil Uzi Vert hit the stage at the 2019 Made in America festival in Philadelphia. During his performance, Uzi called out security who attempted to ruin an audience member's experience.
"Hold on, hold on! Yo, y'all tripping! Y'all tripping!" the Philadelphia native said before bringing his performance to a complete stop. "Y'all grabbing that n---a and don't even know why you grabbing him! You just cranked because it's your muthaf--kin' job. You just cranked up. Relax, bro. Relax. Relax. This my city, bro. Ain't nobody gon' hurt me! I got too many killers out here, bro. Relax."
Following that brief intermission, Uzi continued with the show. As of lately, things have been going great for Uzi. While on Twitter, Uzi shared the exciting news that his grandmother left the hospital after months of recovering from a tumor.
"My grandma been in the hospital for MONTHS man she had a tumor over her eye the Doctors removed half of it when she finally woke she had a stroke on her entire left side and cannot move it," Uzi admitted. "IF YOU DONT KNOW THATS WHO RAISE ME I love my grandma more than Clothes."
He added, "I'm scared excited happy and sad but mostly thankful. So Today my Grandma is coming home she was in the hospital and rehab for months she cannot walk. She cannot talk all the way but I feel her gettin better by the second."
Last month, Uzi agreed to pay a fan's tuition as long as the fan promises to send transcripts and graduates from college. The fan, who is identified as Raheel Ahmad, will receive $90,000 from the Philly rapper to cover his education at Temple University.
