Fox 5 reporter Lisa Evers says the family statement that is currently circulating the Internet is unofficial. She says that person was “unauthorized” to speak for the family. The official statement from DMX’s family is below:

“On Friday night, April 2nd, 2021, our brother, son, father, and colleague DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, was admitted to White Plains (NY) Hospital, facing serious health issues. We ask that you please keep Earl/DMX and us in your thoughts, wishes, and prayers as well as respect our privacy as we face these challenges. Thank you. The Family of Earl Simmonsa/k/a DMX. NOTE – The Ruff Ryders To The Rescue Foundation will have a prayer vigil outside of White Plains Hospital (41 East Post Road, White Plains NY) on Monday, April 5th, 2021 at 5 pm EST. The press is welcome. Please be respectful of the hospital and its staff. Thank you.”

The Ruff Ryders bike crew has assembled outside of the White Plains, New York hospital DMX is currently inside of fighting for his life.

FOX 5 reporter Lisa Evers is at the scene chronicling the developing story. Evers shared a video on her Twitter account mentioning the bikers rolled in and are offering their prayers and support outside the facility. X’s anthem “Where The Hood At?” can be heard blaring in the background. Evers says the Ruff Ryders are planning a tribute ceremony but they have not shared any details as to what exactly will take place.

Who can forget the infamous gang of bikers popping wheelies and performing tricks in the official music video for DMX’s “Ruff Ryders Anthem”? The supportive crew can also be seen in the video for “Where The Hood At?” and “What’s My Name?”

The outpouring of love and support for Dark Man X has been tremendous.
