D.L. Hughley has tested positive for Coronavirus.

On Saturday (June 20), the 57-year-old comedian hopped on social media to update fans on his health. One day prior, the Soul Plane star passed out on stage during his set at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville.

“Thank you everybody for your prayers and well wishes. When I came I was being treated for extreme exhaustion and dehydration, I was very dehydrated. Turns out, they ran a battery of tests and I also tested positive for COVID-19, which blew me away. I was asymptomatic,” he said.

“Apparently I just lost consciousness,” he explained. “If your ass passes out in the middle of the show, you probably need to get tested. I am going back to my hotel room to quarantine for 14 days.”

Prior to Hughley’s explanation, his team issued a statement, explaining that the former was doing just fine. A rep informed TMZ that he was “suffering from exhaustion after all the week’s work and travel, and was kept overnight at the hospital for tests under doctor’s orders. He is awake and feeling better, and wishes to thank everyone for the very kind prayer and thoughts.”

Following the outbreak of Coronavirus, many celebrities have spoken publicly about their diagnosis. Back in March, Scarface revealed that he also tested positive for COVID-19. During an interview, the “Guess Who’s Back” rapper detailed his recovery process.

“You know, like this whole three weeks have been an ordeal,” he said. “Like it’s the craziest s—t I’ve ever done and seen in my life. I’ve been to the point where I just felt like I was going to die, bro. I threw up so much until it was just hot sauce. Like, your gasses and the s—t in your stomach, your acids. I didn’t have no food in my stomach.”

Get well soon, D.L. Hughley.
