Following up DJ D-Nice’s epic Instagram party, Kwamé is keeping the ball rolling. The famed “The Rhythm” rapper and producer announced his forthcoming “Classic Hip Hop Breakfast Jam,” which will go down via Instagram Live on his birthday this Saturday (March 28).

Hopping on the ‘Gram on Monday (March 23) to lay out the event’s details, Kwamé explained that he’s recruiting hip hop legends for this Live party, who will each be invited to perform one classic hit.

“Saturday is my birthday and I was gonna throw an old-school hip hop Instagram Live party, but then I thought, ‘Damn, D-Nice killed it,’” he said. “What if I did one song, and then I brought the alumni in? MC Lyte comes in and does one song. Big Daddy Kane comes in, one song. Slick Rick, one song. Doug E. Fresh, one song. Roxanne Shanté, one song. EPMD, one song. LL Cool J, one song. Rakim, one song. The list can go on!”

On his post, Kwamé also invited the likes of Lord Jamar, Ice T, Ice Cube, Grandmaster Caz, Run-DMC, Biz Markie, Will Smith, Salt-N-Pepa and more.

“An old-school day party… classic MCs doing one song each. We can keep it going and going and going,” he added.

Adding on to the list of invited MCs, Kwamé instructed his Instagram followers to tag a rapper they’d love to see included.

“I want West Coast rappers. I want Dirty South rappers. I want it [all],” he said. “I want all the classic people that we used to love and grow up on to chime in and give us that one classic verse, that one classic song. Just make us feel good… We all sit in here cooped up on quarantine. I’m all dressed up. I ain’t got nowhere to go. Let’s make this happen.”

The “Classic Hip Hop Breakfast Jam” will begin at 8 am PST / 11 am EST this Saturday (March 28) on Kwamé’s Instagram.
