Episode 10 for ya’ headtop and we have The Sobering’s extended family Muzi and his partner in crime. They take us through their newly formed duo ‘Clout Killed The Kids’ (03:59), what it is CKTK and it’s place in the SA music industry. We also get to know Espacio Dios (20:20) while Muzi gives us a vital lesson in balancing the art and the business (37:04), the hardships of independence (39:57) and the importance of owning your masters and what it means (49:43).

CKTK also gives us a bit of inside info on how they run their respective labels and what the future of record labels looks like (01:00:06). The music industry can be a tricky place and Muzi guides us through how he uses the human approach to avoid the sharks in the industry (01:20:40), we also get to know Espacio a little more and find out what his inspirations are and the future for CKTK (01:28:20).
