For the 150th installment of The Realest Podcast Ever, Chad and Matt are joined by their most accomplished guest to date. Today’s feature is with Esquire Magazine’s Chef of The Year + Pop Up of The Year for 2020 Omar Tate. (BTW its also his birthday). The brilliant Mr. Tate gives his most detailed interview to date chronicling his life as a youth growing up in Germantown to how he found his calling as a Chef. He tells the guys how he’s worked in every prominent restaurant in Philadelphia and the illustrious pop-ups he has orchestrated the last few years. He details what its like to be unapologetically black in a world dominated by people who traditionally dont look like him. Omar also discusses all the barriers he has broken as a Black Chef and how he has now become a FULLY FORMED ARTIST. This is by far the best interview in TRPE’s 4 Year History with their best guest to date.
