DJ Scream is the co-founder of Hoodrich Entertainment, an official Maybach Music Group (MMG) DJ, owner of Hoodrich Radio, and one of the most notorious DJs in the urban culture.   During the sit down conversation, DJ Scream recalls falling in love with the art of being a DJ and tells a story of how his parents met at a record store. Scream appreciated how DJs could control a room but still was able to maintain a low profile, motivating him to pursue a career as a DJ.  “Atlanta was the club capital” DJ Scream  DJ Scream has hosted hundreds of mixtapes and counting. He has helped launch the careers of several artists dating back to crunk music, snap music, and eventually trap music. DJ Scream even knew Lil Baby and Marlo when they were little kids.   “We got more studios than liquor stores” DJ Scream  During the peak of the mixtape era, DJs were the official stamp to any artists body of work. During the conversation, DJ Scream shares a story of Shawty Lo convincing Rocko to do his mixtape with DJ Scream instead of a ‘Gangsta Grillz’ mixtape with DJ Drama. That tape would later become known as ‘Swag Season’ and it was during this time that DJ Scream first met Future, which eventually produced mixtapes, ‘1000’, 'Dirty Sprite’, and ‘Astronaut Status’.  “It seems like it was such a blur cause at that time we were just tryna’ get it” DJ Scream  Streaming brought a major shift to the music industry and with change comes adjustments and DJ Scream gets vocal about his thoughts on the streaming era and why he never limited himself to just being a DJ. In addition to being a mixtape DJ, tour DJ, and former club DJ, DJ Scream hosts Hoodrich Radio and has interviewed entertainers of all backgrounds such as Pinky the porn star, J Prince, Janet Jackson, and many more.   “Nipsey Hussle pushed me, during the few times I met him (he didn’t know me but he knew who I was) but he would push me like you gotta get on it cuz, you gotta go man, what you waiting on, come on Scream”  With success comes hate and envy and as a successful artist, you become a target for violence. DJ Scream opens up about the losses of rappers Bankroll Fresh, Slim Dunkin, Doe B, Chinx, and Nipsey Hussle.  DJ Scream continues to enhance upcoming artists careers through his Hoodrich brand and MMG  venture.
