Vanessa Anderson, the owner and President of the AM PR Group is our honored guest on this week’s show. Vanessa launched her pr agency in 2010 and has become THE premier talent pr agency for Black entertainment royalty with clients such as Amanda Gorman; Marsai Martin; John Boyega; Tika Sumpter;  Tamron Hall; multiple Grammy Award winner Cardi B; Golden Globe winner Andra Day; and the one that started it all - Issa Rae. During the episode we discover how she learned from her beloved Grandmother Nettie to check in with herself and follow her intuition which has continued to guide her to this day. We also learn how her lack of resources and mentorship during the launch of her business has inspired her to champion the My Publicist is Black initiative and other Black women throughout the industry including her employees at the agency.
