Quavo did not take back the custom Bentley he gave Saweetie for Christmas following their breakup, TMZ reports. On Sunday (March 21), the outlet wrote that sources close to the Migos rapper denied rumors he had the luxury car repossessed, despite social media posts claiming otherwise.

Speculation began circulating on social media over the weekend after MediaTakeOut reported that Quavo had the car repossessed following the former couple’s public split. The outlet claimed Saweetie’s name wasn’t on the lease for the luxury car and said Quavo worked out an agreement with the dealership so he could end the contract early. TMZ also reported that Saweetie’s name is allegedly not on the lease, but notes there’s no evidence the vehicle has been taken away from her.

Quavo gifted the convertible to Saweetie in December. The Bentley is customized with snowflakes on the exterior and the phrase “Icy” on the headrests as a nod to Saweetie’s 2018 breakout single, “Icy Girl.”

Saweetie confirmed she and Quavo broke up on Twitter last week.

“I’m single,” she wrote on Friday (March 19). “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band-aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”

“I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom,” she added. “Excited for this new chapter of elevation.”

Quavo also publicly commented on their split, writing, “I know you want to make this into a show, so I’ll play my part just this one time. I don’t normally put my business out there, especially my personal life. I feel the need to address this so there are no false narratives.”

“I had love for you and disappointed you did all that. You are not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best,” he added, to which Saweetie later responded, “Take care.”
