BRS Kash has quickly become one of the hottest artists in the country thanks to his song “Throat Baby (Go Baby).” After enticing the game with the original version and winning over more fans with the remix featuring DaBaby and City Girls, Kash has earned his first Top 10 placement on the Billboard charts.

On Saturday (Feb. 6), Billboard confirmed that the Atlanta native’s breakthrough single has entered the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart. “Throat Baby (Go Baby)” jumped up to No. 10 from No. 19 this week after Kash dropped his debut project Kash Only, which features “Throat Baby (Go Baby) (Remix).”

At the top of the month, Kash’s raunchy track had just entered the Top 40 for the first time after jumping from No. 54 to No. 24. In the week ending January 28, the song alone garnered 12.6 million U.S. streams. The boost in streams not only elevated the song on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop chart but also rose to No. 19 on the all-genre Streaming Song chart.

Kash’s ode to oral sex has been making the rounds online and on the radio since its initial release in November 2019. After spending two years in heavy rotation across the country, “Throat Baby (Go Baby)” officially hit Gold status according to the RIAA. Since then, Kash has been on a winning streak. He even got to perform the song at the Georgia senate runoff rally in January.

The honor from Billboard come shortly after BRS Kash dropped his debut project Kash Only, which also features contributions from Mulatto, Toosii, JetsonMade, CashMoneyAP, T-Minus, and more. On the same day, Kash also released the official music video for “Throat Baby (Go Baby) (Remix).” The “Kash App” rapper stars in the video alongside DaBaby plus JT and Yung Miami.
