Dr. Dre is still recovering in an intensive care unit after suffering a brain aneurysm last week. According to TMZ, doctors at the Los Angeles Cedars-Sinai Medical Center are still trying to find out what caused the aneurysm, but have reassured Dre’s family that a possible “bad outcome” is no longer on the horizon.

Prayers flooded social media for the hip hop icon last week after news about his health scare broke. Dre was staying at his Pacific Palisades home on Jan. 4 when he suffered the aneurysm and was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by ambulance.

“Send your love and prayers to the homie Dr. Dre,” Ice Cube wrote on Twitter at the time.

Juicy J, Missy Elliott and more also sent their love Dre’s way.

Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson, tweeted, “I didn’t want this to be my first tweet of 2021 but I had to stop working just to say I just prayed for Dr. Dre and his family. Me and my family are with you.”

Later that night, Dre updated his friends and fans about his condition. On Instagram, the legendary producer said he was “doing great” and expected to return home “soon.”

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” he wrote. “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team.”

“I will be out of the hospital and back home soon,” he added. “Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”

According to TMZ’s Monday report (Jan. 11), Dre is currently “resting comfortably” at the hospital. The outlet added that it’s unclear whether or not the 55-year-old has undergone surgery.

While he’s been staying in the ICU, four men attempted to break into Dre’s house. The attempted robbers were caught by the rapper’s security guards around 2 a.m. outside of his Pacific Palisades estate, and were later apprehended by police.
