Snoop Dogg made a virtual appearance on “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” Thursday (June 4) and spoke about how he was “brainwashed” into thinking that he couldn’t vote because of his criminal record, which has been expunged.
“I ain’t never voted a day in my life, but this year I think I’ma get out and vote ’cause I can’t stand to see this punk in office one more year,” he said, referring to President Trump. “For many years, they had me brainwashed thinking that you couldn’t vote ’cause you had a criminal record. I didn’t know that. My record’s been expunged, so now I can vote.”
Big Boy then asked if this year will be the first year that he will vote and Snoop replied, “Definitely.” Elsewhere in the interview, the rap legend spoke about the protests and looting that have been taking place all over the country following the killing of George Floyd.
“Let’s be real, I’ve [seen] more white faces looting, running out of stores, setting fires [and] throwing bricks. That’s not our forte,” Snoop said. ”That ain’t what we do, we steal. We don’t set fires and all that.”
“It was some Crips in Long Beach,” he continued, referencing a clip Warren G shared on Instagram. “It was a white boy that was infiltrating, coming trying to create some sort of… violent situation, but we had a peaceful march going on in the hood. So, the homies were like, ‘You know what? First of all, you’re not black. You don’t live in Long Beach and you really not about the cause. You’re really one of those [Antifa] guys.’ And the homies recognized that and they did the police work. So, in so many words, we know how to police our neighborhoods better than the police.”
