The 2020 BET Awards nominees have been announced. Drake leads the pack with six nominations including nods for Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year and two nods for both Best Collaboration and Viewer’s Choice for his features with Chris Brown and Future.

Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch garnered the second most nominations with five each. The “Hot Girl Summer” MC is up for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year, Album of the Year and Viewer’s Choice Award. Ricch is nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year, Best New Artist, Album of the Year and Viewer’s Choice Award.

Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Brown, DaBaby and Lizzo have collected four nominations each. This year’s show will be hosted by comedian and actress Amanda Seales. The Lifetime Achievement and Humanitarian honorees will be announced at a later date as well as the show’s performers.

On May 20, BET announced that their annual awards show will virtually stream this year due to COVID-19. “At BET, we place the health and safety of attendees, staff, vendors and partners first, which is why the biggest night in Black entertainment will go on implementing this innovative production direction,“ said Connie Orlando, Executive Vice President and Head of Original Programming at BET.

She continued, “Despite the challenges of today, we will deliver a show filled with larger than life, inspiring, empowering and entertaining moments, which have shown the magic of our culture for over two decades.

The three-day BET Experience has been canceled and will return next year. Refunds were issued to anyone who purchased tickets. Catch the BET Awards on June 28 at 8 pm ET on BET, BET Her, and CBS. Who do you want to see perform this year?
