According to CP24 News, a 15-year-old boy and 27-year-old woman were also injured in the shooting. All three victims were reportedly rushed to a local hospital, where the Toronto-bred rapper sadly passed away from his injuries.

Tory Lanez, Meek Mill and others have reacted to the tragic news on social media.

According to Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders, local authorities believe that Houdini was targeted in the shooting. The unidentified suspect had allegedly been sitting in his car for 40 minutes, waiting for the rapper to arrive. So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.

Houdini had just recently released his Hou Woulda Thought (Deluxe) album, following the initial project’s release in 2019. The “Backseat” rapper received co-signs from the likes of Lanez and NAV and had also recently unveiled his underGROUND EP and a collaborated single with Killy and 6ixbuzz called, “VV’s.”
