Yesterday (May 24), marked 15 years since the release of Rihanna’s first single, “Pon de Replay.” The songstress took to Instagram to commemorate the track’s success after fans created the #15YearsOfRihanna hashtag, which became a trending topic on Twitter.
“#15YearsOfRihanna. Thank you for all the love on this hashtag today!” the Anti singer wrote. “Man this is trippy. Feels like just yesterday I was shaking in the hallways of Def Jam waiting to audition for JAY. ‘Pon de Replay’ is where it all began...15 years later and I’m here because God led me to you and you Guys have held me up, supported me, tolerated me, loved me, kept it too real with me and we gon always be connected because of that! I love you Navy and I cherish you. I’m so grateful to be gifted [to] you as my fans and family. G4L!”

She is also Spotify’s most-streamed female artist ever and the highest certified female in US history with over 200 million units.
Earlier this month, Rih was named the richest female musician in the UK by The Sunday Times. She has an estimated fortune of £468m, which can be attributed to her music catalogue, Fenty Beauty cosmetics line, Savage x Fenty lingerie line and Fenty luxury fashion line.
