Lil Uzi Vert released his Eternal Atake and Eternal Atake (Deluxe) — LUV vs. The World 2 albums earlier this year, but it appears the Philadelphia native is already gearing up for another full-length project.

On Sunday (May 10), Uzi responded to fans on Twitter who accused the rapper of performing shortened concerts in the past. After asking his fans to forgive his brief shows, one Twitter user wrote, “So you’re telling me there was high possibility i wouldve seen you perform the entirety of EA if jmblya happened?

Uzi responded by saying he would have performed the whole Eternal Atake record, as well as a new album that’s “coming soon.”

EA and my New Album that’s coming soon,” he tweeted.

Naturally, the casual album announcement sent Uzi’s fans into a flurry.

“New Album that’s coming soon?!” one person tweeted.

“Did this ni**a just announce another album like it was nothing,” another noted.

However, some were skeptical of the news, given Eternal Atake’s lengthy delay.

“Nah I’m not believing anything until I see the album with my own two eyes this could be EA all over again,” one Twitter user wrote.

Still, a new album would continue Uzi’s successful momentum this year. His Eternal Atake (Deluxe) — LUV vs. The World 2 album previously made Billboard Hot 100 history, when every song from the record entered on the chart. Prior to that feat, every song from Uzi’s original Eternal Atake had charted on the Hot 100 as well, making him the first artist to have every song from two different albums chart on the Hot 100 in back-to-back weeks.

The accomplishment brought Uzi tied with Lil Wayne for the second-most simultaneous Hot 100 entries. The first-place holder is Drake, who had 27 tracks charting on the Hot 100 during one week in 2018 after dropping Scorpion. According to The Source, Eternal Atake also became the most streamed album since Wayne’s Tha Carter V, racking up over 278,000 streaming equivalent units.
