New Orleans native Ambré is brilliantly embodying the renowned creative and musical spirit her vibrant hometown is famous for radiating. Having grown up in foster care, Ambré turned inward, discovering her natural gifts and passion for creating music early on. As she taught herself how to play instruments and learned the art of songwriting, she found her voice, going on to self-release her first single in 2014 on SoundCloud.
Ambré’s enchanting vocals, masterful songwriting and sage production choices garnered the attention of the music industry and curious fans alike. Soon thereafter, she was invited to write for H.E.R.’s debut EP (“Changes,” “U”) and found herself accompanying Kehlani on the “You Should Be Here Tour” in 2015. The years that followed have been filled to the brim with exciting opportunities, including releasing her own music, collaborating with a slew of established acts, touring across the country and even winning a Grammy in 2019 for her work on H.E.R.’s self-titled album. With her eyes on a bright future ahead, Ambré is continuing to make her mark, welcoming the next chapter of her career with the release of 2019’s Pulp EP.
Like many of the rap heroes he’s been studying and drawing inspiration from since childhood, Jahmed credits Hip Hop with saving his life and helping him discover his passion-driven purpose. With his upbringing split between Southern California and Texas, the 24-year-old rapper is steadfast in his mission to be an authentic voice within the culture. In March 2020, Jahmed made a powerful introduction, releasing his debut album, THEBOOFMOBILE, to critical acclaim and hard-earned praise.
Evident throughout the eight-track collection is Jahmed’s spirited delivery and ability to translate his charismatic personality on wax, as well as his perceptive knack for blending southern and West Coast influences with ease. The name of the album is in tribute to the first car Jahmed bought with all of his savings, with the vehicle physically transporting him to Los Angeles to work on his album and metaphorically representing his arrival on the scene. As fans continue to discover Jahmed through his debut album, he is busy preparing for what’s in store next, letting his unwavering work ethic and genuine love for Hip Hop lead the way.
