REVOLT Chairman, Sean “Diddy” Combs, has a public service announcement.

On Saturday (April 18), the music mogul revealed on Instagram that he is launching a new platform titled “REVOLT BLACK NEWS.” Diddy explained that he came up with the idea after he hosted “State of Emergency.” The “Making The Band” creator also noted that he will “put together a collective of individuals that are experts in their field.” The new show will highlight solutions that will help the black community amid Coronavirus.

“When I started @REVOLTTV I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, for our people, so I decided to launch #BLACKNEWS,” he wrote. “This platform is for solutions. ⁣⁣We’ve already heard about what we can’t do, but this is about what we CAN do. This is all happening in real time, it’s not perfect, but each week we will get better and better.”

He concluded, “See you this Sunday live on REVOLT & YouTube.com/REVOLTTV 8PM ET / 5PM PT.”

Diddy’s announcement came after he raised $4 million in support of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to his successful dance-a-thon virtual event, “The Four” star explained that he wanted to create an all-inclusive event. A lot of celebrities showed their support and made guest appearances including Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Kelly Rowland, Drake, Will Smith, Jessica Alba and more.

“We are having the WORLD’S BIGGEST DANCE-A-THON and YOU ARE ALL INVITED,” Diddy’s PSA read at the time. “We are raising much needed money for our healthcare workers in the underserved communities around the country!⁣⁣ So let’s ALL DANCE TOGETHER and raise money for our healthcare workers to let them know how much we appreciate them! This Sunday 3pm EST / 12PM PST on my Instagram live! Tell a friend to tell a friend!”
