Tory Lanez has never been one to shy away from saying what he wants, whether his comments ruffle feathers or not.

In a recent interview with Rob Markman for Genius’ “For the Record” series, the Chixtape 5 rapper said that he believed he had a lot of similarities to the late 2Pac.

“I feel like honestly, and niggas is gon’ be like, ‘Yo, you’re bugging,’ but I feel like—remember when Pac was like, ‘I may not change the world, but I can spark the idea in the brain of the person who will?’” Lanez asked.

“I feel like, deadass, like that ‘spark’ was me, my nigga,” he said. “I feel like there’s a lot of similarities between me and Pac.”

The “Broke In A Minute” rapper also said that he and Pac share a certain type of “bluntness.”

“Not saying like, I’m Pac,” he continued. “I hate when niggas say that. I’m not trying. I’m me, my nigga, but I do love Pac and I do feel like there were similarities in the fact that when you really think about it, I say whatever the fuck I want to say. Niggas hate me for that. Or they love me for it. I move how I want to move. I’ll really punch your fuckin face off in real life. It’s been proven. This is a proven fact.”

Lanez recently announced that “Quarantine Radio” won’t return to Instagram for about a week and a half. If quarantine is extended for the country, then he said the show will return. The popular Instagram Live show has seen appearances from Diddy, Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, Trina, Fabolous, Drake, Raven Symoné, Megan Thee Stallion and many others. The show has drawn hundreds of thousands of viewers with its twerk contest and talent show.
