Future has quietly brought another mixtape out of the vault. On Thursday (April 16), the Atlanta mainstay finally made his 2016 mixtape Purple Reign available to stream. Recorded in collaboration with DJ Esco and Metro Boomin, the 12-track effort was previously only available to listen to on mixtape-hosting sites, like DatPiff and Live Mixtapes.

The news arrives shortly after Future also made his Zaytoven-produced 2015 mixtape Beastmode and DJ Esco-helmed 56 Nights available to stream as well.

Besides digging through his discography, Future is also currently working on new music. Last week, he announced his forthcoming Life Is Good album, riding off of the title of his and Drake’s triple-platinum collaborated single.

“It’s about life and being good and just enjoying life,” he told XXL about the project. “So many tragedies and catastrophes and everything is going on in the world. And you want to enjoy life, as long as you have it. Waking up, breathing, well, you want to be able to soak it all up and be appreciative for every moment on this earth, every moment that you’re living.”

The “Mask Off” rapper also revealed that Life Is Good will feature a new level of creativity.

“This album right here defines me at a creative level,” he shared. “Going to the next level where you just going to the next level and always going outside the box, but still remaining true to my core fans and my core audience. It’s me trying new things.”

“I want to remain true to self, but also true to my fans and just giving them a good project, a great project to be able to listen to, but also for different artists to be able to feed off of, create off of, come up with different ideas and just being at the forefront of just making a solid album, a solid, complete album,” he continued. “It’s just very important to me.”

Future’s most recent full-length album was The Wizrd, which arrived in 2019. That year, he also dropped off his seven-track Save Me EP.
