Readying his album Boss Man for a March 13 release, Rich the Kid revealed the forthcoming project’s cover art in an Instagram post on Tuesday (March 3).
The artwork portrays the newly engaged rapper standing next to a piano, while sporting a dashing suit, extravagant jewelry and posing with baby goats.
Boss Man will serve as a follow-up to last year’s Rich Forever 4, the fourth installment from his Rich Forever Music imprint. The project included label mates Famous Dex, 83 Babies, Yung Bino, Airi and Jay Critch. Rich also dropped his most recent solo album, The World Is Yours 2, last year.
Although he hasn’t shared an official Boss Man tracklist yet, an interview with Rap-Up revealed the album will include features from Lil Baby, Future, DaBaby, Nicki Minaj, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Quavo and Post Malone.
“We’ve actually known each other for like about five, six years, when he was in Atlanta. We caught back up years down the road,” he said of working with Post, who produced their collab. “Post Malone got beats and they’re fire.”
Rich also shared his experience of working with Minaj.
“I just had this song that was perfect to get her on and then she just killed it, this monster verse,” he told the outlet. “She’s like one of the first to start the wave for all the other female rappers.”
In terms of the project’s sound, Rich said fans can expect “a lot of bangers.”
“When I was working on my album, I was just feeling like I’m the CEO of my own label,” the rapper and Rich Forever Music CEO said. “It’s people that tell me what to do, like they can give me their opinion, but it’s not motherfu*kers that’s telling me what to do.”
So far, fans have gotten a taste of the record from previously released singles “That’s Tuff” featuring Quavo and the NBA YoungBoy collaboration, “Money Talk.” Look out for Boss Man, arriving next Friday (March 13).
