LeBron James to the rescue!

During a recent Instagram Live session, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade spoke openly about their getaway trip to the Bahamas. In the clip, the Portland Trail Blazers player recalled how LeBron James saved his life after a snorkeling adventure took a turn for the worst.

“It was my fault though, I was still trying to see the last bit of the barracuda, snorkeling and all that,” Anthony recalled in the clip. “I look up, the current is taking me to the middle of the ocean, like opposite from the boat. It was windy, all type of s—t was going on through my head, I’ll be honest with you. Then I look up at the boat and I see ‘Bron jump off the boat like he is MacGyver. He jumped off the boat into the water. He was bringing me back with one arm.”

Earlier in the conversation, Anthony and Wade took a moment to remember their late friend, Kobe Bryant, who was among the nine victims that died in a tragic helicopter crash in January 2020. Following his untimely passing, many shared their condolences to social media including James.

“I’m Not Ready but here I go,” he wrote to Instagram. “Man I[‘m] sitting here trying to write something for this post but every time I try, I begin crying again just thinking about you, niece Gigi and the friendship/bond/brotherhood we had!”

He added, “Man I love you big bro. My heart goes to Vanessa and the kids. I promise you I’ll continue your legacy man! You mean so much to us all here especially #LakerNation and it’s my responsibility to put this shit on my back and keep it going!!”
