Christmas is the season of giving, so Teyana Taylor is doing just that. The “Wake Up Love” singer took to Twitter on Wednesday (Dec. 23) to announce her holiday giveaway.

“I wanna give $500 each to a few people towards Xmas gifts,” she wrote. “This ain’t no sponsored shit, it’s coming from my heart & straight out of my account lol, so I wanna give to those who are really in need & could use a lil extra holiday cash, especially if u have kids. Happy holidays.”

Taylor — who celebrated her 30th birthday earlier this month — has been on the receiving end of support and tons of compliments after she revealed she’s retiring from music to preserve her mental health.

The “Rose in Harlem” vocalist has fortunately been blessed with opportunities in other arenas, including a role as creative director for UK clothing brand Pretty Little Thing and a feature in the sequel to Coming to America, which is set to release in March. Dionne Warwick also shared her desires for Taylor to play her in a biopic.

Now, the New York native is hoping to give back to families in need — much like other celebrities have been doing this holiday season.

As REVOLT previously reported, Beyoncé and her philanthropic organization BeyGOOD recently announced their plans to assist families or individuals facing eviction and/or foreclosure.

“This holiday season while many are stressed with what they will do next regarding their housing, we are proud to share some GOOD news,” read an excerpt from a press release. “Beyoncé is giving $5K grants to individuals and families facing foreclosures or evictions.”

Rick Ross, 50 Cent, Rowdy Rebel, 21 Savage and Roddy Ricch are a few of the other celebrities who have made contributions to families who may be struggling during this time.
