Just two weeks ago, fans were worried and concerned about Boosie Badazz well being when reports surfaced that he had been shot in Dallas, Texas. It was later confirmed that the rapper was shot in the leg and had to go through multiple surgeries in order to begin the recovery process.

Things seem to be going well for the rapper since he was spotted out and about at a nightclub during Thanksgiving weekend. He hosted a Thanksgiving Bash event on Thursday (Nov. 26) evening at the Exquis Event Center in Charleston, South Carolina. The “Wipe Me Down” emcee attended the event in a wheelchair and seemed to be in good spirits.

He shared a video on his new Instagram page of himself being pushed around in the wheelchair and used a hashtag that read, “Sometimes I smile to keep from crying.” He is set to host another event in Alabama on Saturday (Nov. 28) night.

News broke on Nov. 14 that the rapper had been shot while he was in Dallas for a funeral for his friend, Mo3, who had been shot and killed in the city just days before. The artist was hit in the leg and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for an injury below his knee.

There were rumors circulating that Boosie had his leg amputated due to the gunshot wound but they were false. He did undergo several surgeries, including one in which screws put in his foot.

The rapper took to Twitter after he discharged from the hospital and confirmed to his fans that he had not lost his leg and thanked them for their support during the ordeal. “OUT THE HOSPITAL #athome Thanks to all the ones who prayed fa me Folded hands N YEAH I STILL GOT MY LEG,” Boosie tweeted to his fans.
