Lil Yase’s music label confirms his death

Lil Yase’s record label Highway 420 Productions has confirmed his passing. No update was given regarding Yase’s cause of death.News of the rapper’s tragic death surfaced on social media on Saturday (Nov. 27) with his friends and other artists posting tributes and condolence messages about him on social media.

Now the independent record label broke their silence in an Instagram post, thanking fans for their support during this difficult time. The label promised that the Bay Area star left behind hundreds of unreleased songs that will be shared soon. The label shared a teaser clip of the music video for Yase’s song “Top Dog,” and asked fans to share it and tag the San Francisco, California music outlet Thizzler so they can drop the full version following the rapper’s death.

“We appreciate all the love and support. Yase loved his fans, he worked every day for y’all. We have hundreds of songs coming for you,” the label’s caption read. “Please repost and share let the world know who the ‘Top Dog’ is @yasemoney600 @yasemoney600 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• tag @thethizzler tell them to drop this right now right now.”

The Thizzler was among the first to report on the rapper’s death on Saturday, with a post shared on social media. “We’re hearing that San Francisco rapper @yasemoney600 passed away this morning,” the caption read. “We’re sick about the news and send prayers & positive energy to his family. What is your favorite Lil Yase song?”

Fellow rappers and musicians took to social media to pay tribute to the up and coming star. Thousands of fans also expressed their sadness regarding the loss by sharing heartfelt messages about the rapper. Yase was beloved by hip hop fans in the San Francisco area and was known for his songs “Get It In,” “Furl” and “Worst Way.” No update was given regarding the cause of death.
