French Montana is giving back to his community this holiday season.

On Monday (Nov. 23), the Excuse My French emcee teamed up with members of City Harvest to distribute more than 500 turkeys to people in The Bronx, according to TMZ. French, who moved to South Bronx when he was a kid, reportedly funded the event. He was also in attendance to hand out the turkeys to the families in need.

French isn’t the only celebrity who is giving back to his community. This past weekend, Nick Cannon and Dr. Dre joined forces to make sure the families in Compton, California had adequate food before Thanksgiving through the Feed Your City Challenge.

Dr. Dre released a statement about his involvement in the event and why he chose to participate. “Unity is within us all. By us working together we can serve the underserved,” the mogul said. “Thanksgiving is a special time to bring people together; people shouldn’t have to worry about how they’re going to feed their family for the holidays, so we accepted the challenge from Tony Draper and his team to generate that unity for Compton during these difficult times.”

Tyler Perry is another celebrity who gave back to those who are less fortunate. On Sunday (Nov. 22), Tyler Perry Studios announced that they were going to distribute food items and gift cards to 5,000 families.

“We are excited to announce the #TPSGiving Food Giveaway event on Sunday, November 22nd from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.,” a tweet from the studio read. “During this drive-up event, we will be distributing non-perishable food items and gift cards to people who are in need during this holiday season. See you there!”

Although the event was supposed to last for four hours, it only lasted two hours because all of the food and gifts ran out.
