President Donald Trump said that Joe Biden “won” the presidential election for the first time since Election Day. Trump took to Twitter on Sunday (Nov. 15) morning to continue his spiel regarding the election, which he has repeatedly said was “rigged.” In one tweet, the president acknowledged that the former vice president “won” the election, making it the only time he has made that claim publicly since Biden was named the winner on Nov. 7.
“He won because the Election was Rigged,” Trump tweeted. “NO VOTE WATCHERS OR OBSERVERS allowed, vote tabulated by a Radical Left privately owned company, Dominion, with a bad reputation & bum equipment that couldn’t even qualify for Texas (which I won by a lot!), the Fake & Silent Media, & more!”
“All of the mechanical ‘glitches’ that took place on Election Night were really THEM getting caught trying to steal votes,” he wrote. “They succeeded plenty, however, without getting caught. Mail-in elections are a sick joke!”

The tweets were flagged by Twitter for misinformation and the social media platform added the message “This claim about election fraud is disputed” under both tweets. Following the tweet, people took Trump writing “he won” as accepting his loss and “Trump conceded” started trending on Twitter.
Yes Trump admitted that Biden did win the election! He won! Thanks for the speech. Short, but I’ll take it. pic.twitter.com/aE2QWelUml— Dra (@audaciousdra) November 15, 2020
Twitter users began editing his tweet to solely focus on the words “He won” since it’s the first time Trump acknowledges his loss, since he never gave a concession speech unlike other presidential candidates.
Folks, we have a concession speech. “He won” - Donald Trump 11/15/2020 pic.twitter.com/Ez4dTNFicC— Somewhere in Texas (@joanneintexas) November 15, 2020
Trump addressed the reactions from people and the media and said he was not conceding. “He only won in the eyes of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA. I concede NOTHING! We have a long way to go. This was a RIGGED ELECTION!” the president wrote.
Biden was named the projected winner of the 2020 presidential election on Nov. 7, but states such as Georgia and North Carolina just recently finished counting their ballots. The president-elect has been named the winner of Georgia, while Trump won North Carolina. Biden is the first Democratic nominee to flip Georgia since Bill Clinton did it back in 1992.
CNN is reporting that Biden’s victory in Georgia added 16 electoral votes to his total, bringing him to 306, which is the same number Trump had in the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton. With the president winning North Carolina, their final totals are now reported to be 306 to 232. Biden recently called Trump’s refusal to accept his loss “an embarrassment.”
