After multiple name-drops and hints, SZA has officially announced that her sophomore album will arrive this year. The exact drop date is still unknown, but the confirmation alone is enough for her fans.

The TDE songstress revealed her music plans during a Twitter Q&A with fans on Friday (Jan. 3).

“Are we getting anything this year ma’am i’m STARVING,” one fan asked.

“I’d say the date me and punch jus discussed .. but that would stress me n build uneccesary pressure,” SZA replied. “Short answer is yes.”

SZA has kept a low-profile since releasing her debut effort, Ctrl, in 2017. She’s since popped back in the spotlight on the Black Panther song, “All the Stars” and again alongside The Weeknd and Travis Scott on a song for “Game of Thrones.”

Little is known about her sophomore project, except for a handful of collaborations the “Love Galore” artist has teased.

“This next album is even more of me being less afraid,” she said during an interview with Kerwin Frost, adding that Justin Timberlake, BROCKHAMPTON, Post Malone and Jack Antonoff may appear on the record.

“Before I was like, ‘What the f*ck am I doing in the studio with Justin Timberlake right now? This is crazy,’” she reflected on recording music with Timberlake. “But when I heard his music and we started singing together… It’s like, ‘Oh, we speak the same language. The same frequency.’ I understood where he was going before he could finish a run.”

Megan Thee Stallion marks SZA’s most recent feature addition, as she revealed on Twitter last month that the two have already hit the studio.

“Das already cut n recorded,” she tweeted to a fan who asked for a Meg collab.

Elsewhere in her Twitter Q&A, SZA also opened up about her workout regimen and revealed that she’s got another song on tuck with Sam Smith.
