The childhood cancer organization that used Diddy’s song “Bad Boys For Life” as their cancer-fighting dance anthem seems to have caught the hip hop mogul’s eye.
“WOW! I’M SO INSPIRED BY THIS,” Diddy wrote on Instagram on Thursday (Jan. 23). “These kids are so strong and I’m humbled they’ve found strength in one of my songs. They are fearless and motivating me like nothing before.”
Fighting All Monsters, or FAM, previously posted the viral dancing video, which enlisted kids and teens across the country—and Snoop Dogg—to band together to fight life-threatening illnesses and dance to Diddy’s 2001 hit. The group’s ultimate goal is to have Diddy dance with them on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
“And of course I’ll dance with all of you! Every time I’m feeling my energy shift I get up and dance. Keeps my vibrations high!” his post continued. “I’ll dance with y’all everyday! Never stop believing… and remember WE AIN’T GOING NOWHERE!!!!”
Since sharing the kids’ video with his 15 million Instagram followers, TMZ reports that donations have flooded in for the nonprofit. According to the outlet, 100 iPads and two Super Bowl tickets have been donated to the kids, with an Apple executive also reaching out to the organization about other ways that they can help. Diddy’s message also inspired people to volunteer, with FAM reportedly receiving over 300 emails within an hour of his post.
The childhood cancer organization announced Diddy’s support on their Facebook page. He reportedly has something special planned for the kids involved.
“Diddy said he will dance with us!” FAM posted on Thursday (Jan. 23). “Who wants to see Puffy and the kids take the stage with Ellen DeGeneres?”
“The ‘Bad Boys For Life’ song is kind of the unofficial anthem of FAM,” Janine Kline, the mother of childhood cancer patient Cassidy, told News 12 Brooklyn. “If you listen to the lyrics, like, ‘We ain’t going nowhere,’ basically it’s telling cancer we’re not going anywhere.”
