YG is bringing in the New Year by apologizing to the LGBTQ community. The Stay Dangerous rapper took to Twitter to express his sincerest apologies for his ignorance.

He tweeted, “it’s been brought to my attention that my old views on life was ignorant. i apologize to the LGBTQ kommunity for ever komin across like i was anything but respectful and accepting. Live. Love. Ya Life. Gang!”

There’s no word on what the rapper specifically said or did that caused this apology. Many fans replied to the tweet saying that he’s only apologizing because he’s dating Kehlani and she’s openly bisexual.

Kehlani recently tweeted that the pair had split, but it seems like the couple has since reconciled.

Back in October, YG was caught locking lips with another woman outside of a Los Angeles nightclub. In the viral video, YG was speaking with a woman before grabbing her face and kissing her. “He was drunk, got carried away and it was very regretful for putting himself in that situation and hurting Kehlani. He has no romantic connection to the girl, just a drunken moment carried away,” his team told The Shade Room.

Following the incident, Kehlani maintained her love for the rapper in a leaked song titled “You Know Wassup.” “You’re still my love/You’re still my heart/That’s still my dick/ Still wanna be Mrs. Jackson,” she sings. “Waited five years to be on the team/Look damn good fuckin’ with me.”

On Wednesday (Dec. 11), the singer tweeted and deleted a message that hinted that the pair was officially done. While responding to a fan about rumors that she had moved on to Lanez, she tweeted “Because i keep seeing this. i’m addressing it. absolutely not. we made a song for my album,” she explained. “I am single. and focused.”

A few days later, Kehlani shared a video of her home covered in rose petals. Fans believe that YG was behind he romantic gesture, but it was never confirmed.
