More information is being revealed surrounding the untimely death of Chicago rapper, Juice WRLD. Authorities now believe that he may have swallowed multiple pills in an attempt to hide them from the feds.

According to TMZ, the pilot who was flying Juice WRLD’s private plane alerted authorities that the rapper and his entourage had guns. When they landed, the authorities were waiting for Juice WRLD and his crew. TMZ is told that at some point between the plane landing and the feds searching through his luggage, he was seen swallowing several pills in an attempt to hide them. Those pills could have contributed to his actual death.

As they were going through his luggage, sources said the rapper began “convulsing (and) going into a seizure.” An agent administered two doses of Narcan, a drug treatment that is used when an opioid overdose is suspected. Juice WRLD reportedly woke up, but was incoherent. Police asked his girlfriend if he had any medical issues or had ingested any drugs. She said that he did not have any medical conditions, but that he “takes Percocet and has a drug problem.” He was transported to the Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Police found 41 vacuum sealed bags of marijuana, six bottles of prescription codeine cough syrup, two 9 mm pistols, a .40-caliber pistol, a high-capacity ammunition magazine and bullets. Two of Juice WRLD’s bodyguards were arrested with illegally possessing the guns and ammunition. They have since been released, as they had valid permits to conceal and carry. So far, no drug charges have been filed. An autopsy was performed today, but additional testing including toxicology, cardiac pathology and neuropathology is needed before they release his official cause of death.

We continue to send our prayers and thoughts to Juice WRLD’s family and friends.
