The hip hop community is in shock as they are mourning the death of Juice WRLD.

The “Lucid Dream” rapper died on Sunday (Dec. 8) after suffering a seizure at Chicago’s Midway airport. We previously reported that the 21-year-old landed from California early this morning and after deplaning, witnesses said he suffered a seizure while walking through the airport.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Juice WRLD was bleeding from the mouth when paramedics arrived at the scene. The rapper was reportedly conscious when he was rushed to the hospital. However, he was pronounced dead shortly after.

The cause of death is not yet known.

Juice’s hit record “Lucid Dreams” landed him on the Billboard 100 chart. In fact, the track peaked at No. 9. The single appeared on his debut album, Goodbye & Good Riddance, which was released in May 2018. The album only had one feature – Lil Uzi Vert.

Goodbye & Good Riddance debuted at No. 15 on the US Billboard 200 chart. It was later certified platinum by the RIAA in Dec. 2018.

Juice WRLD released an album, Wrld on Drugs, with Future on Oct. 19, 2018. Following the release of the album, the Chicago rapper spoke to Vulture on how Future actually influenced him to experiment with lean. “That’s the first thing I told him. He just was like, ‘Wow.’ He kind of apologized,” he said.

Juice’s untimely passing has shaken his fans as well as his peers. “Wow, I can not believe this. Rip my brother juice world. No man no!!!!!!!!!! Listening 2 legends Rn is blowin my mind dawg,” Lil Yachty tweeted.

The tributes began to pour in almost immediately. “This gotta be fake news bra. Wack way to start the morning.. fr,” said Zoey Dollaz. “Juice so genuine dawg that shit ain’t even believable. Just 21 dawg , with so much ahead of em. This sh-t ruined my day.”
